Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Banking Analyst to join our Latin America (LATAM) Coverage team in New York. This role offers the opportunity to work across Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), and Debt Capital Markets (DCM) transactions in partnership with leading corporates, financial sponsors, and sovereigns throughout the Latin American region.
As part of a dynamic, global investment banking platform, the Analyst will gain broad exposure to deal execution, financial modeling, market analysis, and client interaction, playing a key role in delivering strategic and financing solutions across a range of sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of M&A, ECM, and DCM transactions across Latin America.
- Build detailed financial models, valuation analyses (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions), and transaction materials.
- Conduct due diligence, industry and company research, and support pitch book and presentation development.
- Work closely with senior bankers and clients across geographies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Maintain data rooms, coordinate with legal and accounting advisors, and support deal execution processes.
- Monitor market trends, economic developments, and key regulatory events affecting the LATAM region.
- Engage in internal cross-border collaboration with product and sector teams across the global franchise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or related field (internships included).
- Fluent in Spanish (spoken and written) – Portuguese a plus.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
Additional Information:
- This role requires full-time presence in our New York office.
- International travel may be required on occasion.
