ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Client: A multinational energy group with operations across Latin America and the Caribbean.

Overview:
Our Client is seeking a Director to join its M&A team at an important stage of regional expansion. The role will work closely with senior M&A leadership and will naturally take on greater responsibility as the function grows. Over time, this position is well-placed for broader leadership within the group.

The Cayman team is a cohesive, multicultural LATAM group known for camaraderie, high standards, and strong cross-border collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support M&A execution across valuation, modelling, due diligence, and investment materials.
Evaluate acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic growth initiatives across LATAM and the Caribbean.
Prepare clear, well-structured materials for senior management.
Work closely with Finance, Legal, and Strategy teams on corporate development efforts.
Take increasing ownership of M&A initiatives as the team expands.

Required Qualifications:
6+ years in M&A, Private Equity, or Corporate Development.
Spanish and English fluency strongly preferred.
Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
High attention to detail and quality of output.
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Bachelor’s degree from a top university.
MBA and/or CFA preferred but not required.
Downstream oil & gas exposure is a plus.

Location:
Primary location: Cayman Islands.
Dallas may be considered for the right candidate (no visa sponsorship).
Remote work is not an option.
