ABOUT THE ROLE
Financial Regulatory Department, including all aspects of the accounting cycle, preparation of financial reports, tax compliance and execution of key controls. This is accomplished through the management of the following units: General Accounting,
including SAP and Billing & Collections, Internal Controls (SOX), Reporting, and Taxes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
Oversee the timely and accurate accounting of financial results, including intercompany process and consolidation.
Oversee and ensure timely and accurate preparation of all required financial statements and regulatory reports.
Develop and maintain adequate financial policies and procedures. Recommend policy changes to ensure the accomplishment of strategic
objectives. Ensure that financial practices and reports comply with all applicable Accounting Guidelines and federal and local regulations, including USGAAP, IFRS, SEC, SOX, as applicable. Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
Manage and oversee internal controls, including those over the financial reporting processes.
Oversee the execution of all key controls, including but not limited to SOX controls. Assess and communicate any exceptions to established internal controls.
Oversee the internal and external financial audits. Monitor findings and recommendations raised by auditors and develop and implement plans to timely remediate exceptions.
Prepare and ensure compliance with all required Audit Committee and Board of Directors communications.
Oversees the company’s tax compliance, consulting and planning process, including the development of tax strategies to optimize tax structure. Ascertain the preparation and timely filing of tax returns with the corresponding governmental agencies, quarterly tax provisions and analysis, evaluation of accounting transactions to determine tax impact (ASC 740), and tax disclosures to be included as part of the 10Q
and 10K Filings.
Provide analysis as needed to assist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Support the execution of the financial strategy to evaluate and improve company performance across all regions.
Monitor and evaluate the overall performance of assigned finance functions including but not limited to: Performance Management, Hiring Staff, monitor personnel costs, goal assignment and overall performance of the unit.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution, is required. A master’s degree in related fields is recommended.
Experience:
Over ten (10) years of progressive experience in the areas of accounting, finance, treasury, financial analysis and planning, or related roles, with exposure to a regional function. Knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, including SEC requirements, internal controls (SOX) and applicable tax requirements.
