ABOUT THE ROLE
Overview:
Our client is the New York office of a leading foreign bank with an established
presence in Latin America. The firm is seeking a Spanish-speaking Associate to join its
Derivatives Solutions team, supporting structured hedging transactions and interest rate
derivatives across a dynamic client base — including project finance sponsors, corporate
clients, and financial institutions throughout Latin America.
This is a unique opportunity to join a sophisticated, international platform with exposure to
cross-border transactions, high-impact mandates, and direct client interaction across the
region.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support structuring, pricing, and execution of interest rate and FX derivative transactions
• Liaise with originators, relationship managers, and credit teams on cross-border
opportunities
• Assist in developing tailored hedging solutions for infrastructure, corporate, and financial
sponsor clients
• Prepare transaction materials, term sheets, and risk analyses for internal and external
audiences
• Contribute to LATAM business development efforts through market research and client
support
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and operations on trade execution and lifecycle
management
Qualifications:
• 2–4 years of experience in financial markets, derivatives, or structured finance
• Strong understanding of interest rate derivatives and corporate hedging strategies
• Fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) is required
• Outstanding communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with Latin America-based clients is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field required
