Annie Levy

CEO and Founder

Annie Levy founded the Emerging Globe Group LLC in 1997, to better service the specific needs of the Latin American Financial Sector, and the other Emerging Markets as they relate to Latin America.

Prior to that, Annie had spent 7 years with Teeman, Allison & Perley,Inc., building the Latin Corporate Finance Recruiting Practice there, and then further developing their recruiting presence in Latin Equity Research, and Sales and Trading. This encompassed working closely with the Latin American Fixed Income Recruiting effort, all in New York and Latin America during that time. These were the "seeds" of the relationships that we still hold close to 20 years later. The bright young Latin focused Professionals of the early 1990s in many case run the Financial Sector in their Countries in the 2000s.

Annie had originally begun her Career in "headhunting" with The Stockbrokers Register, in Boston, MA, placing Retail and Mini-Institutional Brokers. She holds a BA from Ohio Wesleyan University, where she Majored in Political Science, and minored in Spanish Language Studies. Annie completed Ohio Wesleyan's Spanish Studies Course in Segovia, Spain. Hobbies are skiing, surfing, yoga and water color painting. She lives in Westport CT with her 2 children and beagle named Turtle.

Bill Thornton

Executive Recruiter Private Banking

Bill Thornton is responsible for the Emerging Globe Group'’s efforts in the Emerging Market Private Banking sector as well as senior management, operations and compliance positions industry wide. Mr. Thornton also oversees the day-to-day operations of the Emerging Globe Group.

Prior to joining Emerging Globe, Bill draws on close to 20 years experience of sales, brokering, business development and business creation in very diverse fields. Areas range from the commodities sector with ICAP to the paper industry with Boise Cascade, Websource, Strategic Paper to co founding Paper.com as well managing and overseeing the sales effort for a large micro brewery. With his broad areas of experience Bill has created a network four industries wide and in his time with Emerging Globe has established a vast network in the LatAm financial sector.

Michael Sandin

Executive Recruiter Fixed Income

Michael Sandin joined the Emerging Globe Group in 2006 and specializes in Emerging Markets Fixed Income product area with emphasis on Latin America. Michael covers both sell and buy side recruiting for sales, trading, research for the group.

Prior to joining Emerging Globe he held Major Accounts Executive and Sales Manager roles for Business-to-Business Sales for a national wireless and broadband provider, marketing and Sales role for Deawoo Motor America and their North American product launch.

He attended University of Nebraska graduating with a degree in Communications 1985.

Moira Sargent Rachel

Executive Recruiter Equities

Moira Sargent Rachel- Moira brings almost 20 years experience in Latam equities. For the first 8 years of her career, Moira was a buy-side International Equity Trader for a successful hedge fund. Later, Moira switched to the sell-side as a Sr. Sales Trader to help build successful Latam businesses at Caspian Securities, ABN Amro and Inverlat, among others. Working closely with Traders and Analysts over the years, Moira brings a deep understanding of the Latam equities business as well as many longstanding relationships in the region.

David L. Matik

Executive Recruiter Corporate Finance

Mr. Matik has been a successful sales professional for the past 18 years, and has worked for some of the world’s most admired pharmaceutical corporations. He has interfaced with some of the most well-known authorities in the pharmaceutical market and has consistently ranked amongst the top producers in a variety of product areas.

Prior to joining Emerging Globe Group, David was a top producing Senior Sales Representative for a unit of Johnson & Johnson’s pharmaceutical division where he was responsible for marketing and sales of numerous technical medicines. Prior to JNJ, he joined Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, where he was a Sales Manager in the Northeast region, and started his career in New York City with Bristol-Myers Squibb.

David is a graduate of Emory University and holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Connecticut. David lives in Weston, CT with his wife Libia and their two sons James and Nicholas. He enjoys all sports, movies, Latin American cuisine and spending time with his family.

Francois Auzerais

Executive Recruiter

Francoise Auzerais graduated from Trinity College with a B.S in Economics. He was captain of the 2010 Trinity Bantams football team. Francois is currently a youth football coach and tutor for middle school and high school kids. He has had work experience and exposure to markets in Spain, France, Ecuador, and New York. Has is an Ecuadorian, French, and U.S passport holder and fluent in Spanish.
