Martin Resnick
Founder of Resnick Investment Advisors and serves a partner and Managing Director.
Resnick Investment Advisors is a Focus Financial Partners Company. Marty’s expertise spans a wide range of investment disciplines including investment management, financial planning, estate planning, insurance analysis, and tax consulting.
Prior to founding his own firm, Marty was a principal of Westport Resources for six years. He served as Tax Director for ITT Rayonier, Inc. and as Assistant Tax Director of Warnaco, Inc. He was a Tax Manager at Robinson & Preece, CPA's, after beginning his career as a staff accountant for Price Waterhouse, CPA's. In addition to his CPA, Marty holds an MBA in Accounting and Taxation and a BS in Electrical Engineering. He is a Registered Investment Advisor Agent and a Life, Health, and Disability Insurance Agent. Marty is a past President of the Westport Rotary Club and is a member of the VFW and Mason organizations. He enjoys mountain climbing, sailing, motorcycling, and snowboarding.
Vince Tirola
Attorney Tirola's practice focuses on commercial and residential real estate, executive compensation, family law and probate. His clients run the gamut from individuals to Fortune 500 CEO's. Prior to joining the firm he was the senior partner at a Fairfield County firm for over forty years.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Tirola has served as a guest lecturer discussing law and the entrepreneur, at a number of academic institutions including Wake Forrest School of Law, Miami University and Fairfield University. He was an adjunct professor at Sacred Heart University Graduate School of Business and a lecturer at New York University School of Law. He has also lectured at numerous Fortune 500 companies on the topic of how executives can maximize their golden parachute and retirement packages.
An active member of his community, Mr. Tirola has served as a member of the Westport Zoning Board of Appeals, a board member for the Connecticut Theatre Foundation, and a board member and secretary of County Federal Bank. He served as a member of the Fairfield Judicial District Panel from 2000 - 2006. He is also a former Justice of the Peace for the Town of Westport and a past board member and secretary of the Westport Chamber of Commerce.
Gary D. Nusbaum
Private Equity Advisor
From 1989 until 2002, Mr. Nusbaum was at the private equity firm Warburg Pincus, where he was a Managing Director, and from 2003 until 2005, Mr. Nusbaum served as a Managing Director at Aetos Capital, an asset management firm. At Aetos Capital, Mr. Nusbaum was the firms Chief Financial Officer, and also headed its private equity business. In 2006, Mr. Nusbaum joined Palladium Equity Partners, LLC, a private investment firm, as a Managing Director. Mr. Nusbaum received both his B.S. in Economics and M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has served as a board member of several public and private companies.
